Иван: Привет! Это Иван. Вчера был очень интересный день. Я пошёл в гости к моей бабушке. У неё большой и красивый сад. Когда я пришёл, бабушка была на кухне. А в саду сидел её друг, медведь Миша. Миша — большой и добрый медведь. Раньше он работал в цирке. Но сейчас он на пенсии.
(Ivan: Hello! This is Ivan. Yesterday was a very interesting day. I went to visit my grandmother. She has a big and beautiful garden. When I arrived, grandmother was in the kitchen. And in the garden sat her friend, Misha the bear. Misha is a big and kind bear. He used to work in a circus. But now he is retired.)

Иван: Миша сидел на стуле и смотрел на цветы. Он был немного грустный. Я спросил: «Миша, почему ты грустный?» Миша вздохнул и сказал: «Я не знаю, Иван. Просто скучный день».
(Ivan: Misha was sitting on a chair and looking at the flowers. He was a little sad. I asked: “Misha, why are you sad?” Misha sighed and said: “I don’t know, Ivan. It’s just a boring day.”)

Иван: Я хотел, чтобы Миша был весёлый. Я посмотрел вокруг. На столе в саду лежали яблоки. Красное яблоко, зелёное яблоко и жёлтое яблоко. Три яблока. У меня была идея!
(Ivan: I wanted Misha to be cheerful. I looked around. On the table in the garden lay apples. A red apple, a green apple, and a yellow apple. Three apples. I had an idea!)

Иван: Я взял три яблока. Я сказал: «Смотри, Миша! Я тоже артист!» Я подбросил одно яблоко. Потом второе. Потом третье. Одно яблоко упало на траву. Второе яблоко упало мне на ногу. А третье яблоко упало мне на голову. Ой! Было совсем не больно, но очень смешно.
(Ivan: I took three apples. I said: “Look, Misha! I’m an artist too!” I threw one apple up. Then the second. Then the third. One apple fell on the grass. The second apple fell on my leg. And the third apple fell on my head. Oops! It didn’t hurt at all, but it was very funny.)

Иван: Миша посмотрел на меня. Он не смеялся. Он встал, подошёл ко мне и взял яблоки. Он посмотрел на яблоки, потом на меня. И потом он начал жонглировать. Это было невероятно! Яблоки летали в воздухе так быстро и красиво. Он был настоящий профессионал! Он подбросил яблоки очень высоко и поймал их все.
(Ivan: Misha looked at me. He didn’t laugh. He stood up, came over to me, and took the apples. He looked at the apples, then at me. And then he started to juggle. It was incredible! The apples were flying in the air so fast and beautifully. He was a real professional! He threw the apples very high and caught them all.)

Иван: Когда он закончил, он улыбнулся. Это была большая, счастливая улыбка медведя. Теперь он не был грустный. Он снова был артист из цирка!
(Ivan: When he finished, he smiled. It was a big, happy bear smile. Now he wasn’t sad. He was a circus artist again!)

Иван: В этот момент из дома вышла бабушка. Она увидела нас и сказала: «О, мои артисты! Пора пить чай с пирожками!» Мы сели за стол, пили чай и ели очень вкусные пирожки. Миша больше не был грустным. И я был очень рад, что увидел настоящее цирковое шоу в саду у бабушки.
(Ivan: At that moment, grandmother came out of the house. She saw us and said: “Oh, my artists! It’s time to drink tea with pirozhki!” We sat at the table, drank tea, and ate very tasty pirozhki. Misha was no longer sad. And I was very happy that I saw a real circus show in my grandmother’s garden.)
