(Ivan: Hello! This is Ivan. Yesterday was an interesting day. I went to visit my grandmother. I had a gift for her. It was a new, big tablet.)

Иван: Моя бабушка очень хорошая. Она любит готовить и смотреть телевизор. Но она не любит новую технику. Телефон — это сложно для неё. Компьютер — очень сложно.
(Ivan: My grandmother is very nice. She loves to cook and watch TV. But she doesn’t like new technology. A phone is difficult for her. A computer is very difficult.)

Иван: Я сказал: «Бабушка, это подарок. Это планшет». Она посмотрела на него.
(Ivan: I said: “Grandma, this is a gift. It’s a tablet.” She looked at it.)

Бабушка: Что это? Это как маленький телевизор?
(Grandma: What is this? Is it like a small TV?)

Иван: Я улыбнулся. «Да, — сказал я, — но ты можешь говорить с людьми и видеть их. Мы можем делать видеозвонок». Бабушка не поняла.
(Ivan: I smiled. “Yes,” I said, “but you can talk to people and see them. We can make a video call.” Grandma didn’t understand.)
